Cook County GOP's New Hispanic and African-American Outreach Committee Chairs

Aaron Del Mar of Palatine, announced Cook County GOP Hispanic and African-American outreach committee chairs

Aaron Del Mar, Cook County Republican Party Chairman announced at the appointment of Chairmen to two new coalition committees within the county's GOP Wednesday night.

Ramiro Juarez will serve as Chair of the Hispanic Outreach Committee and Darnell Macklin will serve as Chair of the African-American Outreach Committee for the Cook County Republican Party.

“When I was elected, I promised to work to grow the Republican Party by reaching out to minorities that so rarely hear the Republican message yet naturally agree with many of our conservative principles,” said Del Mar, a Philippine-American and the first minority to hold the position of Chairman of the Cook County Republican Party. “Ramiro Juarez and Darnell Macklin will serve the Party well in their positions, and we will work to continue to grow these committees with additional Hispanic and African-American Republican leaders in Cook County.”

Ramiro Juarez lives in Streamwood with his wife, Xóchitl, and their two children, Arturo, 3, and Diego, 1. He is a public school teacher at the primary level, serving at the Community Consolidated School District 62. He received a Bachelors degree from DePaul University with a concentration in history and his Master of Arts Degree in Teaching from Rockford College. He is currently the Republican candidate for State Representative in District 44.

Darnell Macklin attended Kent State University and holds a B.A. Degree in Political Science and a M.P.A. Degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He has 25 years of managerial experience, has worked as an administrator with the Department of Health and Human Services and Investigator with the City of Chicago, and sits on the board of several not-for-profit community organizations. He is the Republican Committeeman for the 6th Ward of Chicago.
