DiMaria To Appoint New Morton Grove Trustee Soon

Candidates can still contact him to submit their resumes.

Morton Grove Mayor Dan DiMaria said after Monday's board meeting that he hopes to announce the village's new trustee at the next village board meeting.

The resignation of Trustee Tony Kalogerakos after the Sept. 9 village board meeting created a vacancy on the village board. The mayor will appoint someone to fill that role and serve out Kalogerakos' term. He was elected in April 2013.

"Usually we draw from the commissions, and I'd like to continue that," DiMaria said, adding that he has received phone calls and resumes from people interested in the position, and that interested people can still contact him.

He said the person chosen should have a passion for moving Morton Grove forward.
