Forensic Audit Remains Hot Issue for Morton Grove Library Board

Trustees discussed the method and purpose of the audit, which was a campaign promise by some of the newly elected board members.

Trustees for the Morton Grove Public Library Board voted 5-1 to move forward audit research at the monthly board meeting June 9, as the Morton Grove Champion reported.

Library Director Ben Schapiro was directed by the board to research possible firms to conduct the audit, which was a campaign issue in the April 5 library board elections.

“There is a cloud hanging over the library, started by you guys,” said Trustee Daniel Hoffman, according to reporter Cathryn Gran.
