Find out how your legislators and senators voted on Illinois' historic pension reform.



Illinois legislators took one of their biggest votes in a long time Tuesday, with both chambers voting to pass the pension reform bill.

While many praised them for solving the financial crisis created by decades of legislators failing to fully fund pensions, others criticized lawmakers for being too punitive toward suburban teachers, state employees and others, who will see less money in their pension payouts, even though they paid into the system.

HOUSE

  • Rep. John D'Amico (D) Yes
  • Rep. Michael McAuliffe (R) Yes
  • Rep. Laura Fine (D) Yes
  • Rep. Lou Lang (D) Yes
D'Amico and McAuliffe represent different portions of Niles. Fine and Lang represent portions of Morton Grove.


SENATE

  • Sen. John Mulroe (D) Yes
  • Sen. Ira Silverstein (D) Yes
  • Sen. Dan Kotowski (D, Park Ridge) Yes
  • Sen. Daniel Biss (D, Skokie) Yes
Mulroe and Silverstein represent portions of Niles. Biss and Fine represent portions of Morton Grove.
