Kids Can Enter Niles' T-Shirt Design Contest, Win $100

Design will be printed on 1,000 t-shirts.

One lucky winner of the village of Niles' t-shirt contest will see his or her design printed on 1,000 t-shirts and given to kids at the village's July Fourth parade. The artist will also receive $100 cash.

The contest is one of the ways the village is capitalizing on being named "Best Place in the U.S. to Raise Kids" by Bloomberg/Business Week in December. Children are encouraged to emphasize that theme, as well as the Independence Day theme, in their designs.

“Our excitement about being honored as the Best Place in the U.S. to Raise Kids continues to grow”, said Village Manager George Van Geem in a prepared statement.  “We want adults and children to take ownership of this honor and participate in many of the ways we promote it. I can’t wait to see what our young artists create; I know it will be great!”
