Morton Grove Appoints Economic Development Director



Getting more businesses to locate in Morton Grove has been a much-discussed issue in the village.

With a number of empty storefronts along Dempster Street and elsewhere, economic development was a key topic of discussion in the February primary and April general election. 

Now, Mayor Dan DiMaria and the village board have appointed Nancy M. Radzevich, AICP, as the Community and Economic Development Director.

Radzevich holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois-Champaign-Urbana and a Masters Degree in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has worked in Evanston as the Economic Development Division Manager, as a Current Planner in Naperville, Land Use Coordinator/Chief Planner in Newton, Massachusetts, and Vice President of Planning & Permitting for the Massachusetts Development Finance Agency. She has worked for the Village of Morton Grove since October 2012.

“Economic Development is a top priority of my administration," said DiMaria in a statement.  "I am impressed with Nancy’s proactive ideas to streamline the Village’s business approval process. She shares the Board’s and my commitment to attract and retain businesses and industries in Morton Grove.”
