Morton Grove Parks Hires New Director

She will replace Brian Sullivan, who left last year, and the interim director, Rich Grodsky.

 

Just as summer sports, day camp and the pool season are gearing up, the Morton Grove Park District hired a new executive director at a special meeting April 15.

Tracey Anderson, who has served as Superintendent of Recreation for the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District since 2009, will start May 6 as head of the Morton Grove Park District. She holds a master's degree in recreation and parks administration, according to the district.

Earlier: Brian Sullivan leaves suddenly

Anderson succeeds Brian Sullivan, who resigned suddenly last year. The district hired an interim director, Rich Grodsky, who will serve until Thursday, April 25.

 “We believe Tracey has the vision, knowledge, and experience to lead the district into the future,” Betty Fergus, the board president, said, according to a statement from the district. “Her expertise will strengthen the district’s recreation programs and partnerships throughout the community."

The district said Anderson has expertise in program development, fund-raising, budgeting, and enhancing community involvement.
