New Morton Grove Police Station to be Constructed in 2015

The cost to build the new station is estimated at $15 million, the Morton Grove Champion reports.

The former General Bandage industrial space on Lehigh Avenue will soon serve as the new Morton Grove police station, the Morton Grove Champion reports.

The village approved a $1 million loan to purchase the land. It’s estimated the cost to build the station will be $15 million. The current police station was meant to be a temporary space when built in 1980. The new building, expected to be constructed in 2015, will likely share space with another Morton Grove government body, the newspaper reports.
