Six new committees have been formed in the village of Niles, the Journal & Topics reports.
The departments include public services, public safety, human services, general government and technology, building and zoning and finance. The committees were designed to support each section of government within in the village of Niles. Committee heads have yet to be named, and a village trustee will be appointed to each department, the newspaper reports. Department managers will be required to give quarterly reports to the mayor and schedule meetings for the groups to meet once per month.
