Niles Parade Set To March On Monday, July 4

It will be followed by traditional picnic, live music and games at Grennan Heights Park.

Tom Bondi, a former village of Niles trustee, and Kimberly Trausch of the village's Public Services Department appeared at the Niles village board meeting Tuesday to tell attendees that the Niles Fourth of July parade is ready to step off at 9 a.m. Monday from Notre Dame College Prep.

Participants are asked to gather at the high school, at Dempster and Ozark Avenues, by 8:15 before the parade begins at 9 a.m. 

The parade, which will have , will be followed by a picnic and celebration at Grennan Heights Park, which is at the end of the parade route.

The Niles Park District will distribute free hot dogs and soda, and the celebration will include live music, kids' games and inflatables, and the Niles Fire Department creating a water spray area for kids.
