There may be a hiccup in plans to renovate Oriole Pool in Morton Grove.
The pool currently has only 36 parking spots available, while 92 are required under Morton Grove village code, the Morton Grove Champion reports. The village plan commission discussed the matter at a meeting this week, and is currently deciding if the renovation project is okay to move forward, despite the parking issue. Park district officials say the parking at the facility has never been a problem, the newspaper reports. The new pool is expected to be completed by next summer.
