Take Transportation Survey; Deadline Today

The village of Niles, which is hoping for an express bus to make getting downtown faster, is asking people who live and work in Niles to take the three-minute survey. The deadline is today, Friday Feb. 1.

 

Niles has more public transportation than many suburbs. There are Pace bus routes on portions of Dempster, Touhy, Oakton, Howard and Greenwood .

However, unlike neighbors Morton Grove and Park Ridge, which have their own Metra stations, Niles has no direct train downtown. called Arterial Rapid Transit service, from Pace, the suburban bus service, someday.

Transportation is also a key part of the the document the village adopted about a year ago to plan its development and future. 

Because transportation is so important, the village of Niles is asking people who live, work and shop in Niles to take a brief Regional Transportation Authority survey about public transportation.  Take the survey.  The deadline is Friday, Feb. 1.
