You Can Now Appeal Your Property Taxes Online

If you want to ask county to reduce your taxes, you no longer have to go in person.

Instead of traveling downtown or to a Cook County office and standing in line to file an appeal of property taxes, Cook County property owners can now do it the easy way, online, according to the Chicago News Cooperative.

To file an appeal, visit cookcountyboardofreview.com.

While residential property owners can take advantage of the onine filing process now, owners of commercial property will still have to file their appeals in person. The online system to accommodate commercial property appeals won't be in place until next year.
