Zec Returns to Park Board
Rusmir Zec, who briefly served on the board after being appointed last year, will return again.
The Morton Grove Park Board is getting a familiar face, the Morton Grove Champion reports. Commissioners selected Rusmir Zec to fill a vacancy on the board, left when board president Kevin Lochner resigned.
Zec, who previously was appointed to the board last year, ran for a spot on the board again in the April election, but lost to Dan Ashta. When he announced his resignation, Lochner endorsed Zec. Park officials chose Zec over former mayor and park commissioner Dan Staackmann and Paul Minx, the husband of former Morton Grove Village Trustee Rita Minx.
