Is Niles Free Bus Ridership Report Accurate?
Niles Tax Payers are paying over $600,000 per year for a Free Bus Program without proper justification.

local level the Niles Village Board persists in supporting it's Free Bus Program.
They published a Ridership Reoport in the Fall issue of "Focus On Niles",(Pg.7).
The report covers the period of, April 1,2012 to June 30, 2012 and indicates that
78,477 people used the buses during the abovementioned period, I started
watching the buses over a year ago when I learned that Niles Tax Payers were
shelling out hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to keep this program
going. Whenever I observed a bus there were no more than three or frour
riders and on many occasions the busus were empty. The reported number of
riders during the abovementioned 90 day period suggests that approximately
842 people ride the buses every day,
Based on My observations over the past year I believe the Village Report is
not accurate at best or at worst exaggerated.
