Is Niles Free Bus Ridership Report Accurate?

Niles Tax Payers are paying over $600,000 per year for a Free Bus Program without proper justification.

It seems as though we live in an age where deciet is almost a lifestyle and our

politicians conduct themselves as if the truth puts them at a disadvantage. At the

National level we had to endure the "Fast and Furious" debacle where to this day

local level the Niles Village Board persists in supporting it's Free Bus Program.

They published a Ridership Reoport in the Fall  issue of "Focus On Niles",(Pg.7).

The report covers the period of, April 1,2012 to June 30, 2012 and indicates that

78,477 people used the buses during  the abovementioned period, I started

watching the buses over a year ago when I learned that Niles Tax Payers were

shelling out hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to keep this program

going. Whenever I observed a bus there were no more than three or frour

riders and on many occasions the busus were empty. The reported number of

riders during the abovementioned 90 day period suggests that approximately

842 people ride the buses every day,

Based on My observations over the past year I believe the Village Report is

not accurate at best or at worst exaggerated.
