Is Society's Value System Regarding Human Life Collapsing?

What can possibly account for the cold-blooded, unfeeling shootings occuring in minority neighborhoods in Chicago, New York City and DC ? Some want us to believe that guns are the problem and baning them could be a solution. However, guns are just part of the problem in that they are the weapon of choice. To my way of thinking the most important elements are: Our value systems, i. e., what kind of person is being created when human life is taken casually. For decades abortion has targeted minority babies, e. g., African American babies have been aborted at a rate of 4 to 1 over whites. The US Center for Desease Control reported that since Roe vs Wade (1973) over 54 million abortions have occurred. This had to have a dilutive affect on the value of human life and the moral fabric  in minority communities, thus the senseless shootings of innocent children and no indication of remorse. When the third element is added to the recipe, i.e., depletion of the black family the situation must be considered dire.
