Celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday March 2

Kids--and adults--can get to know the Cat in the Hat and other Seussian wonders on Read Across America day.

 

Celebrate Dr. Seuss' March 2 birthday by joining book lovers and your local public library for Read Across America day.

The Niles Library is celebrating "All Seuss, All Day" with hourly Dr. Seuss readings, and kids will get to color and make a craft.

Plus, "107 birthdays of Dr. Suess" will celebrate the birthday and the release of the Lorax movie from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. Join the library for games, crafts and cake.

This year, the National Education Association, a group of more than 3.2 million educators who work to improve public schools, is calling on book lovers around the nation to take up The Lorax, the popular Dr. Seuss children's book published in 1971 about the lovable creature who fights to save the environment.
