Clarence Culver School Places Fourth in ComEd Contest

The school received $1,000 from ComEd for their efforts in energy saving.

Clarence Culver School in Niles has been awarded fourth place in the ComEd Earth Month Challenge.  

The school received a $1,000 prize for their outstanding achievements in energy saving. This is the second year ComEd has put on the contest, using creativity to teach students, teachers and parents about energy management. The participating schools are given points for energy-efficiency related tasks. 

Other winning Earth Month Challenge schools include:  

First place: Queen of the Rosary School, $5,000
Second place: Our Lady of the Ridge, $2,000
Third place: Trinity Lutheran School, $1,500
Fifth place: St. Frances of Rome, $500
