D67 To Spend $9,500 On Superintendent Search

After Dr. Jamie Reilly announced her resignation last week, a consultant told the school board the search could be expedited, with Feb. 28 the last day for candidates to apply, according to Pioneer Press.

Golf Elementary School District 67 board members approved spending $9,500 to have the Illinois Association of School Boards conduct a search for a new superintendent, the Morton Grove Champion reported.

Superintendent Dr. Jamie Reilly announced her resignation on Thursday.

Earlier:

The IASB would get a community survey onto the website as early as Friday, Dec. 14, and set Feb. 28 as a deadline for candidate applications, with a decision by March, the newspaper reported.

District 67 had placed two referendum questions, one for a tax rate increase and one for a construction bond referendum, on the March ballot, and both failed.

In the November 6 election, the construction bond referendum passed. In the upcoming February primary election, the district will again ask voters to approve the rate increase so that it can reinstate programs it has cut in the past year.

You complain about everything. I hope with all the griping you do that you show up to every board meeting to give your opinion.

Hard to believe that a list of candidates wasnt made when Dr Reilly was selected...Go back to the list and pick the next one in line......make a few phone calls.....pay for a couple backround checks....Try saving a little money instead of putting the taxpayers in more debt

How about searching no farther than Hynes school..seems they have a prime candidate by the name of Carol Westley, if she would consider the position. She has been active in the district, longer than the last three superintendants...

Haha Christine I do agree with you! Shawn--I work a job and have to work crazy hours before I can even show up to a meeting. But my mom & her pals do represent the ones who unfort. cannot show up to meetings.
