History of Chicago: Tragedy and Triumph

Join us on Tuesday, June 14 at 1:00 pm for a brief overlook of the 1915 Eastland Disaster and  then focuses mainly on the "Great Migration" of over half a million blacks from the American South to Chicago in the years between 1900-1925. Focuses on the "push" that drove these blacks from the South and the "pull" that drew them to Chicago and the many important ways in which this exodus permanently changed the future of the city.  Program is $5 for North Shore Senior Center, Morton Grove members and $6 non-members.   For more information or to register contact 847-470-5223.
