Maine East Spring Gala Orchestra Concert

Maine East High School students, joined by younger talent from East Maine School District 63, will present their 5th Annual Spring Gala Orchestra Concert on Monday, May 23.

With Sarah Djordjevic, Kristen Radman and Dominique Radtke conducting, approximately 300 students will take the stage to perform modern favorites as well as classic masterpieces.  The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the Maine East auditorium.

Selections include Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson, Love Theme from Titanic, , Don't Stop Believin’, Fiddler's Hoedown, Moonlight Tango, the Finale from Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, Palladio, and Finlandia.

Maine East junior Jessica Bieniarz will be featured performing Gregor Piatigorsky's Variations on a Theme by Paganini on cello with the Maine East Symphonic Orchestra.  

The concert will conclude with all students performing the 1812 Overture by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
