Maine South choral groups present Spring Concert

Maine South High School choral groups will present their Spring Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, in the school auditorium.  Directed by Matthew Hanes, all four curricular ensembles will be performing: Glee, Mixed Chorus, Concert Choir and Chamber Choir, along with the extra-curricular groups Vocal Jazz, Funkafellas and Decibelles.

South’s Spring Concert will feature lighter fare and will highlights music from Pippin, Wicked, Funny Girl, Les Miserables, RENT, and Spring Awakening.  In addition, 12 student "interludes" will be performing in between ensembles with music from La Cage Aux Folles, B.R.A.T.T. Camp, Ragtime, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Spamalot.

More than 100 students will be performing.  Accompanist for the evening is Mrs. Lori Langridge.
