Property Tax Appeal Event

Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak is announcing a property tax appeal seminar that will be offered to taxpayers seeking to appeal their 2012 property tax assessments.

The seminars will be hosted by Maine Township Assessor Tom Rueckert, Cook County Commissioner Peter Silvestri, Park Ridge Mayor David Schmidt, State Representative Michael McAuliffe and Maine Township Supervisor Carol Teschky.

The hour long session will educate taxpayers on how to file a successful tax appeal in a time when the economy is putting added pressures to home and business owners. Before the end of the evening, taxpayers will have an opportunity to work with staff from the Board of Review to address their specific questions and concerns.

This event is free to the public and there is no fee to appeal at the Board of Review. Taxpayers are asked to bring a copy of their most recent tax bill.

The seminar will be held:
Tuesday, October 2, 2012
Maine Township Office Board Room
1700 Ballard Road Park Ridge, IL 60068
6:30 PM

Maine Township is open for appeal until Tuesday, October 16, 2012.
