St. John Brebeuf Junior Jaguars Basketball Program

A few weeks ago a Junior Jaguars program was started to introduce the game of basketball to SJB students in grades 1-3.

Close to 80 of our SJB 1st-3rd graders have been working very hard at learning the game of basketball over the last seven weeks.  They have learned some of the basic skills while learning about respect and teamwork.  The best part of it all is they did this while having fun and building on their relationships with fellow Jaguars!

On Saturday, February 25th, we are brought the first Junior Jaguar Basketball program to a close by showing off what the little ones have learned.  Participants did a half hour demonstration followed by a brief awards program recognizing each participant with a certificate and basketball.

It was an exciting day with a gym filled with family and friends supporting our SJB Jaguars and celebrating their hard work. We look forward to doing it again in 2013!
