Summit Offers Tea Party Etiquette Class

Learn the history and art of an elegant tea party at The Summit of Uptown, 10 N. Touhy, Park Ridge, on Thursday, January 26, at 1:30 p.m. when Patricia A. O’Brien, tea etiquette consultant and lecturer, will discuss how to make a proper pot of tea, tea finesse, the correct foods to accompany tea as well as how to host an afternoon tea in your home.

Trained and certified by the Protocol School of Washington, O’Brien speaks to audiences about tea, teaches classes about how to create tea sandwiches and scones and plans tea parties at downtown hotels.  Sheila Duda of Tea Lula in Park Ridge will supply an assortment of teas to sample as part of the occasion.  There is no charge for the program and light refreshments will be served.
