Mark These School Opening Dates and Parent Nights

First day's a breeze, but attend Parent Night to make the most of your child's opportunities.

Most Niles schools are opening this week, with excited--or apprehensive--students packing their new notebooks into their backpacks and meeting this year's teacher.

Take note of each school's Parent Night, since they always seem to sneak up on you. This is a key time to meet the teacher, principal and staff, find out what opportunities your child has, volunteer or sign up for the PTO or other parent organizations.

District 63 has new starting and ending times for the school day, which vary by school. Please take note of them.
