Niles North’s New Aquatic Facilities Almost Ready to Open

The $15.1 million project at Niles North High School's aquatics facilities will wrap up at the end of this summer.

After 18 months without a home pool, Niles North High School swim and dive teams expect to soon swim in a 121-foot-long competition pool and enjoy revamped pool locker rooms, Skokie Review reported.

The $15.1 million project to renovate the school’s aquatics facilities, which is expected to wrap up at the end of this summer, includes renovating the existing 48-year-old pool, adding new coaches offices, new meeting and storage space, as well as following District 219’s standards for environmental sustainability by using more daylight to illuminate the pool, the newspaper reported.
