Niles Township High School Raised $83K During Dance Marathon

The money will benefit Rustic Falls Nature Camp and District 219 Education Foundation.

Niles Township High School students danced for seven hours during Dance Marathon  on May 25 and raised $83,000 for Rustic Falls Nature Camp, a nature getaway for underserved and special needs children and children cancer survivors, and the District 219 Education Foundation, according to a press release.

District 219 students spent the year raising money and awareness about Rustic Falls Nature Camp and put in more than 1,100 volunteer hours at Rustic Falls alone. The achievement was reached with the support of the many clubs, teams, and groups that donated generously to the cause.

Dance Marathon sponsors include Niles North teachers Pankaj Sharma, Charles Pratt, James Haberl and Tina Helms as well as Niles West Student Activities Director Jessica Pritzker and Niles West teacher Dena Lichterman.
