While a bundled-up baby in a car seat carrier snoozed, his mom asked questions of one of the exhibitors at Wednesday's Preschool and Day Care Fair at the Niles Library.
The scene was repeated around the room as parents, some with small children and some without, explored options for their children's care.

Andy Heusser of Chicago, the parent of a six-month-old daughter, said he found the chance to meet different preschool and daycare operators helpful.
"It's interesting to have the ability to talk to that many day cares and preschools and find out about their teaching philosophies," he said.
