Worlds of Wonder To Give Storm Refunds

After storm forced closure last week, District 64 will give partial refunds.

After last Tuesday's storms forced cancellation of Park Ridge-Niles School District 64's Worlds of Wonder summer enrichment classes last Wednesday and Thursday, the district announced it will be making refunds of $14.28 per class.

The district's offices and schools fell victim to the widespread power outages.

“This rare occurrence led to the emergency cancellation on June 22 and June 23 of our Worlds of Wonder Summer Program at Washington School for grades K-3 and Lincoln Middle School for grades 4-7,”said  Superintendent Philip Bender in a statement.  “Because of this unusual disruption, District 64 is offering an opportunity for parents to request a refund for two days of missed classes in this 14-day session,” he added.
