Chicago Marathon: 25 Niles, 31 Morton Grove Runners Finish

Elizabeth Ave Maria of Morton Grove finished 1,076, and Dennis Cobb of Niles finished 1,393,  out of a total 37,454 runners in Sunday's Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

The were among 31 athletes from Morton Grove and 25 from Niles, who finished the race, according to the official marathon website.

Ave Maria completed the 26 mile, 385 yard-course through downtown Chicago and the city’s neighborhoods in place with a time of 3:03:46. Cobb finished in 3:08:12. In all, 37,454 competitors accomplished the test.

In addition, Sung Kim of Morton Grove came in No. 2 in the age 70-74 division with a time of 04:29:33, and Hyon Ae Kim of Morton Grove finished 53rd in the age 60-64 division with a time of 04:56:56.
