2011 SKOKIE INDIANS 9UPART-TIME TRAVEL    ALLSTAR TEAM TRYOUTS

The 2011 Skokie Indians 9U Part-time travel All-Star team 2nd tryouts will be held on Saturday March 26, 2011 at the Weber Center from 1PM-3 PM.  Please arrive at 12:45PM to fill out necessary paper work. Players interested must attend this tryout. For those of you that  tried out last Saturday you do not have to come to this tryout.

This team will play in the Travel Ball North Shore League (TBNS).  In addition to TBNS league competition, the team will also play in three tournaments.   The TBNS league will run from mid-May through mid July.  This team will begin practicing in April to prepare for the travel season. This opportunity allows for more advanced baseball instruction and the opportunity to play other communities more advanced players. To be considered, all potential players must be willing to make the necessary time commitment to this team I encourage all players born between May 1st 2001 and Aug 31st 2002 to tryout.  Basically this team will consist of primarily current 3rd grade players and possibly some current 4th grade players that were born after May 1st, 2001.  It should be noted that house league participation is mandatory.

In addition to the players born in between May 1st, 2001 and August 31, 2002,  8U players born between September 1, 2002 and Aug 31, 2003 will also be invited to this tryout for evaluation. Parents, please consider your player's size, maturity level and skill level if you plan on having them tryout.  8U players may be selected to the 9U team if there is not enough 9 year old tryout participants.  This 8U evaluation/tryout will also provide us with potential call-up players in the event we are short a player or two due to injury/ sickness or shortage of players due to house league commitment.

Travel team fees are estimated to be approximately 350.00.  The fee will cover the cost of uniforms; TBNS travel league, practice and game fields, advanced baseball instruction and at least three tournaments.

Wear gym shoes and bring your baseball glove, bat etc.). Boys wear an athletic supporter and cup.
