Runners U: Community Education Symposium for Runners

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Illinois Bone and Joint Institution and Chicago Medical School physicians and professionals will be hosting Runners U, a community education symposium for runners. The event will occur on Saturday, August 18, from 10 am to 4 pm at Olson Auditorium at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. Physicians and experts will be there to present interactive lectures, topics including medical conditions in runners, how yoga can be beneficial to runners and discovering if barefoot running is right for you. The keynote speaker is Craig Virgin, 3 times US Track and Field Olympian and 2 times World Cross Country Champion. Virgin will be joined by session moderators Kara Vormittag-MD, CAQ and Alan C. League, MD. Breakfast and lunch will be served for all registered participants. The cost is $10 for ages 20 and under and $25 for ages 21 and older.
