Football Games Rescheduled Due To Storm
There's no playing a game with lightning and high winds.
Friday evening's storm, which rolled in around 6 p.m., caused many local schools' football games to be canceled. The Niles North Vikings did play (and win massively), although with a delayed start.
Here is information on rescheduling.
Notre Dame High School Dons
- The Sophomores will play on Sat. 8/31 at 12 noon & the Varsity at 2:30pm vs. Prairie Ridge at Notre Dame College Prep. NDCP's running back Chris James (Sr.) and Prairie Ridge's offensive lineman Shane Evans (Sr.) were ranked among the top 100 area players in Friday's Chicago Sun-Times and among the top 50 area players in Friday's Chicago Tribune, according to Notre Dame. Maine South High School
- Varsity Football: Game is rescheduled for 8/31 @ 5 PM at Montini. JV Football: CANCELED for 8/31 Sophomore Football: Game from 8/30 has been postponed and will resume on 8/31 at 9 AM at Maine South. Frosh B: game vs Zion Benton @ 9:30 AM will be played on the side field @ Maine South. Varsity game is on High School Cube.
- Niles West varsity football vs. Ridgeland is rescheduled to 1 p.m. Saturday Aug. 31. You can also watch on High School Cube.
- After a delayed start, the Vikings won their home football opener vs. Amundsen 54-0. You can see the game on High School Cube.
