Maine South, Notre Dame Football Teams Regroup After Key Seniors Graduated

Maine South lost a lot of football players at graduation; Niles West retains some key players, and Notre Dame retains at least one. Maine East has one thing going for it.

As high school football coaches look to their fall seasons, they'll have to focus on developing talent.

The always-powerful Maine South Hawks have lost three star seniors who graduated this year in addition to its offensive line, according to the Bugle.  Notre Dame College Prep has also lost some key seniors, though it retains high-scoring running back Chris James, according to Scout.com.

Niles West retains at least three proven players, and the question is whether it repeat its foray into the playoffs this year.

Maine East remains a bigger question. Three of the head coach's sons will be on the gridiron, but the school hasn't caught football fire in many years.
