Maine South Plays Loyola In Football Quarterfinals

The Hawks travel to Wilmette to take on the Ramblers.

It's getting down to the wire for the Maine South Hawks and the Loyola Ramblers, who have both won state in Class 8a high school football in Illinois in recent years.

The foes will meet at Loyola Academy in Wilmette Saturday, Nov. 16 at noon.

Last weekend, Maine South defeated Oak Park River Forest, and Loyola trumped Notre Dame College Prep in Niles, to advance to the quarterfinals.

The winner of the Hawks versus Ramblers contest will face the winner of the Barrington High School vs. Stevenson High School game, which takes place at 6 p.m. Saturday.

The state championship game will be played Nov. 30 in DeKalb.
