Woman Sues Freedom Woods Equestrian Center for Horse Bite

A woman sues the Morton Grove horse stable for a horse bite she received almost 10 years ago.

Freedom Woods Equestrian Center, a horse center in Morton Grove, is being sued more than $50,000 over a horse bite from September 2001.

A 19-year-old woman filed charges in the Cook County Circuit Court on Monday, nearly a decade after she was bit by a horse at the age of 10.

She said that she "suffered severe internal and external injuries to her hand and spent large sums of money for medical care," according to an article in Morton Grove Champion.
