Ho Ho Ho, It's Christmas in July

This must be what December's like in Florida.

The Niles Park District brought a little relief to scorching temperatures last week by celebrating Christmas in July.

Plastic snowmen, glittering gold garland, a decorated wreath, Santa and yes--a Christmas tree--greeted visitors to Pioneer Park. Patrons of the mini golf and batting cages could sit at the patio tables near the concession stand and hum "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" as the thermometer was forecast to hit 101 degrees last Tuesday.
