Three Notre Dame College Prep alumni were elected mayors of local towns. Matthew Bogusz '05 (Des Plaines), Andrew Przybylo '69 (Niles) and Dan DiMaria '85 (Morton Grove).

(4/11/2013 - NILES, IL) Notre Dame College Prep in Niles is pleased to announce that the newly elected mayors of Des Plaines, Morton Grove and Niles are all alumni of the high school. In elections held on April 9, the residents of Des Plaines elected Matthew Bogusz their new mayor. Bogusz is a 2005 graduate of Notre Dame. Andrew Przybylo, the newly elected mayor of Niles, is a 1969 graduate and Dan DiMaria, new mayor of Morton Grove, graduated in 1985 from the high school for young men at 7655 West Dempster Street in Niles.

“We congratulate each of these men on successfully being elected mayor of their town. We are proud of their commitment to their communities. Service is one of our main tenants at Notre Dame College Prep. This year our students are on track to provide over 20,000 hours of community service alone. We extend our best wishes to Matt, Dan and Andy as they continue to serve their constituents,” said Dan Tully, Principal who himself is a 1994 alumnus.

Prior to being elected mayor, Bogusz was 3rd Ward Alderman in Des Plaines, DiMaria was a Morton Grove Trustee and Przybylo was a Niles Trustee.

“It is inspiring to see the dedication that Dan, Andy and Matt have to the service of others. Our school is located in Niles and Des Plaines and Morton Grove are our valued neighbors. Our students are inspired by the examples these alumni have set,” said President Rev. John P. Smyth.
