Upcoming Notre Dame College Prep Events: April 8, 9, 13 and 20

2013-2014 Cheerleader Tryouts - April 8 & 9

The Girls Cheerleading Squad for Notre Dame College Prep, 7655 West Dempster Street in Niles, is holding tryouts for the 2013-2014 season. Although, NDCP is an all boys school, their cheerleading squad consists of students from area all girls high schools. The program consists of JV and Varsity squads. Both squad cheer at all ND Fall/Winter sports, and compete in local, regional and national cheerleading competitions. 

Those interested in trying out will be evaluated on tumbling, jumbs, motion techniques, spirit, appearance and overall impression. Attire required includes a t-shirt, cheer shorts, gym shoes, NO jewelry and hair in a neat ponytail. The Varsity Squad consists of students in grades 9-12 (as of Fall 2013). The JV Squad consists of students in grades 9-11 (as of Fall 2013). 

Tryouts will be held in the school's gym on Monday, April 8 (check-in at 6:30 pm and clinic from 7-9 pm) and in the cafeteria on Tuesday, April 9 (6:30 pm until finished when teams will be announced).

UND, ND/Res, RJO Jazz Concert - April 13 (5 pm)

Join us for a great evening of Jazz featuring the University of Notre Dame Jazz Band, the Notre Dame/Resurrection Jazz Band and the Reunion Jazz Orchestra with Tammy McCann on Saturday, April 13 at 5 pm at the St. John Brebeuf Ministry Center at 8301 N. Harlem in Niles, Illinois.

This wonderful evening of jazz will benefit the music program for Notre Dame College Prep and Resurrection High School students. The cost is $5 per person. For more information visit www.nddons.org/undconcert. See you there!

Golf Building Dedication - April 13 (2:30-4 pm)

The Golf Building will hold a Public Open House on Saturday, April 13 from 2:30-4 pm. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 3 pm. The Golf Building, which is located near the Golf exterior facility, features a golf simulator and hitting bays which will provide ND golfers with opportunities to practice all year long despite the weather. For more information, click here. 

"Donopoly" Dinner Auction - April 20

Notre Dame College Prep in Niles is hosting their  "Donopoly"  Dinner Auction on Saturday, April 20 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Rosemont. This evening features delicious food, wonderful silent and live auction items. dancing with music by "The Moods" and all proceeds benefit the students of Notre Dame College Prep, a high school for young men at 7655 West Dempster Street in Niles. Val Warner, co-host of ABC-TV Channel 7's "Windy City Live" will serve at the Master of Ceremonies. Tickets are $150 each or $1,500 for a table of ten.
