Going to Great Heights To Raise Money

Members of the Niles Police Department went up on the rooftops of Dunkin Donuts shops Friday to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois.

At the Dempster Street location, Sgt. Robert Tornabene was staked out on the roof, lending an extra pair of eyes to traffic patrol on Dempster.

Sgt. Eric Lambrechts and Officer Tony Muscolino were inside the shop, collecting donations. Lambrechts, who had arrived at 5 a.m., said donations had come in steadily throughout the morning.
