Pet of the Week: Dillon

Each week, we spotlight one exceptional pet available for adoption from a local rescue.

Secondhand Snoots dog, Dillon, is a 3-year-old American Bulldog mix.  What makes Dillon special is that he was born deaf.  But that does not stop him from having a good time!  There is not much that makes Dillon happier than playing ball!  He has learned many hand signals, and for the most part you would not even know he was deaf.

Through no fault of his own, Dillon has spent the majority of his life in a kennel.  That's how we got to know him at Morton Grove Animal Hospital!  But although we love Dillon, we all want to see him in a home of his own.  He is currently being fostered by Kristine Murtz, a Secondhand Snoots Board Member.  He has good house manners, and is crate trained and house broken.  And did I mention he likes to play ball?!?

Dillon lives with cats in his foster home, and does quite well with them.  He's also great with kids! He does, however, get nervous around other dogs sometimes.  Kristine is working hard with him to ease his worries, though.  He is neutered, fully vetted, vaccinated, heartworm checked, and microchipped.
