Pet of the Week: Capone
Each week, we spotlight an exceptional pet available for adoption from a local rescue.
Meet the handsome Capone! What a gentleman he is! Capone came to Chicago Canine Rescue with his buddy, Ariel, in extremely rough shape. They were both starving and frightened. But, with some good care and tons of love, both are in great shape now!
Capone is a super-sweet guy to hang out with. He really just wants to snuggle up and sit in your lap. He is, however, around sixty pounds, so he's a pretty big lap dog! He knows basic commands such as sit and he really aims to please. What Capone wants now is to forget his old life and start anew with a family that loves him like he deserves to be loved!
Capone is around 6-7 years of age, but he's in excellent condition and health, and he's still very active and playful. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.

And if you are not ready to commit to bringing a dog into your home permanently, consider fostering or volunteering to come walk the dogs. Going on walks is great for them and for you, too!
