Pet of the Week: Puppies!!!

Each week, we spotlight an exceptional pet (or pets) available for adoption from a local rescue.

One of the great things about volunteering at Chicago Canine Rescue is playing with puppies!!!  There are many adorable, roly-poly puppies at CCR right now, just waiting for loving families to adopt them!  Some of the puppies are staying at the shelter and some of them are in foster homes.

While puppies are tons of fun to play with, it takes a committed family to give a puppy a solid start in life.  Along with the puppy breath comes the chewing.  With the playing comes the potty-training.  With the snuggling comes the crying at night.  Before you bring a puppy into your house, make sure everyone is on board with providing the pup with the time and consistency that they need.  The rewards will be well worth it!  You will have many years with your new family member!

All of the puppies at CCR come fully vetted, are vaccinated as appropriate for their ages, and are microchipped.  When they are old enough, arrangements will be made for them to be spayed or neutered.
