Pet of the Week: Ruby

Each week, we spotlight an exceptional pet available for adoption from a local rescue.

This week's pet is Ruby!  Ruby gave birth to a litter of adorable puppies shortly after arriving at Chicago Canine Rescue.  Now that her job of taking care of her pups is finished, it is time for Ruby to find a family to love her!

Ruby is a two year old retriever mix.  She loves to snuggle and get belly rubs.  She has shown no signs of dog aggression, and while she hasn't been cat-tested, we get the feeling she'd be fine with them.  Through her stay at CCR she has been a sweet and easy-going girl.

Ruby is microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.  She will soon be spayed.

And if you are not ready to commit to bringing a dog into your home permanently, consider fostering or volunteering to come walk the dogs.  Going on walks is great for them and for you, too!
