Pet of the Week: Sayla
Each week, we spotlight an exceptional pet available for adoption from a local rescue.
Meet Sayla! While she is small in size, she is huge in personality! Sayla currently rules the Chicago Canine Rescue office, making sure each chair has been properly warmed, and each person properly greeted!
Sayla is a special girl, as she is diabetic. She was given up by her owner when she was diagnosed, as they did not have the resources to care for her properly. She is currently well-regulated on insulin. She requires two tiny shots daily, and she is a real trooper. She will need regular vet visits to make sure she continues to do well.

Sayla doesn't let her diabetes slow her down, though. She's full of energy and love! She is a five year old miniature pinscher mix and she is fully vaccinated, heartworm checked, microchipped, and spayed.

And if you are not ready to commit to bringing a dog into your home permanently, consider fostering or volunteering to come walk the dogs. Going on walks is great for them and for you, too!
