Niles Observes Veterans Day At Veteran Memorial Waterfall

- Join Niles officials Monday promptly at 11 a.m. Monday at Veterans Memorial Waterfall, at the southwest corner of Touhy and Milwaukee Avenues, for an observance of Veterans Day. Members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7712 will conduct a ceremony.
- Rosemont Theater offers a free Veterans Day event Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. with free parking, admission and food. It's hosted by Ramblin' Ray of US99, and features Back Country Roads and Brother Trouble.
- The Morton Grove Village Board meets Monday at 7 p.m. at village hall for it regular board meeting, and the agenda is here.
- Kids 12 and up can participate in "Babysitting Basics" at the Morton Grove Library Tuesday and Thursday evenings and get a certificate. The emphasis is on safety. Registration is required. 3:45 p.m.
- A business seminar, "Rev Up Referrals To Boost Your Business," is offered by NetConnect Thursday Nov. 14 at 7:30 a.m. It's affiliated with the Niles and Morton Grove Chambers of Commerce.
- Notre Dame College Prep Presents "James and the Giant Peach," at the school, 7655 W. Dempster, Niles, on Nov. 8-10 and 14-17.
- State Senator John Mulroe is hosting a Foreclosure Prevention Workshop at Wright Junior College Saturday, Nov. 16.
