See Dance Showcase Performers, and Enjoy Free Beer Tastings
It's 'The Weekender,' and we have fun suggestions for things to do this weekend.
- Morton Grove Park District's "Fall Dance Showcase" presents lithe dancers, and you might even get a chance to dance with them. Sunday at 2 p.m.
- It's not too early to look at a school for your kids for next year, St. John Brebeuf parents say. They're hosting an open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with refreshments, and even the Bears vs. Rams game on a big screen at the school, on Harlem Avenue in Niles.
- Aha! An attempt to move Black Friday up a week, cleverly disguised with the moniker "Discovery Friday." Still, it does sound like fun, with games, prizes, and more, for adults and kids, Friday at Barnes & Noble at Old Orchard.
- Really, who can resist something called Free Beer Tastings? At the Village Inn, 8050 N. Lincoln, Skokie, 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21.
- The Cornucopia Gift Faire features hand-crafted items, gourmet foods, baby and child apparel and toys and many unique gift. Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday at the Women's Club of Evanston, 1702 Chicago Avenue, Evanton.
- Toby Mac plays a 7 artists in one concert Saturday at the Sears Centre.
- Come hear the 2013 Young Artist Competition Winners at the Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra's Concert Sunday, at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts.
