If you're in the mood for soup--homemade, thick, delicious--Violet's is THE place to come.
Violet's is my MG home. Cozy, wonderful home-cooked meals, I just get all nostalgic and happy when I come here. My girls love it, they get to color while I read the paper, it's truly my favorite place to eat in MG. Thanks, Violet!

While we have a few really good breakfast locales (best wishes to Kappy's for their award as one of Chicago's Top 75), a truly interesting and unique spot for breakfast and lunch is Violet's, so give her place a try the next time you are hungry (her soups are homemade and tasty).
