Culver is the sole school in Niles Elementary School District 71, with kindergarten through eighth grade classrooms…More all housed in its building. The district boundaries include the southeast portion of Niles and the western portion of Morton Grove. Students at the school speak at least 20 different languages in their homes. A few are recent immigrants and and take ELL (English Language Learner) classes.
Culver has a CAD (computer-assisted design) lab, in which students in the upper grades can tackle architectural, technological and engineering design projects, such as bridge-building.
The school's physical education program is in the Illinois Blue Ribbon program. Its mascot is the Bulldogs.
Culver students also participate in the arts, giving spring, fall and winter concerts and putting on a play every year in May.
